No. 2: There is a Way to Make a Better BLT


The BLT is an American Classic, a lean simple sandwich made up of the ingredients in its acronym. But you can make it better without overdoing it.

For one, we swap out the L for some kale massaged in white vinegar to provide some much needed acid to balance out the fat. And secondly, we add avocado to counterbalance the bacon fat with some heathy fat.

But the real trick is swapping out the T. How can you swap out one of three main ingredients without while staying true to the cause? We do it by subbing in our homemade tomato jam, which ties the whole things together like a bright red bow.

Served between two slices of toasted Fleur de Lis bread and served nightly till 3am and delivered, free of charge, till 2:30am if you live on the eastside and within a two-mile radius of our Hawthorne Street shop.
